Hudson, Florida (August 29, 2008) Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point hosted their Annual Teen Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon & Awards Ceremony on August 9th. More than 25 teens along with their family members attended the ceremony. Each teen received a certificate of appreciation and a letter of completion to bring to their respective school guidance counselors. Many of them will use their volunteer hours to earn scholarships.
A total of 75 teens ranging in age from 13 to 18 volunteered during the hospitals summer program. The summer program began May 31 and ran through August 9. The teen volunteers helped regular volunteers run errands, file in offices, and deliver water to patients, deliver flowers and a variety of other duties The hospitals regular volunteers enjoyed the helping hands.
When a volunteer reaches 100 hours they receive a special pin to commemorate the event. Twelve of the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point teens received a 100 hour pin, two received their 500 hour pin and one received a 750 hour pin. Those who received these pins are:

Regional Medical Center would like to thank all of the young people who helped out this summer as well as their parents who faithfully brought them to the hospital to volunteer.
