Hudson, FL (August 28, 2009) - Rosemary Barker has been named Infection Control Specialist at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Ms. Barker has over thirty years nursing experience since graduating from Geneva School of Nursing, Geneva, N.Y. She received her certification in Infection Control in 1995 and has been an Infection Control Practitioner for 16 years.
Her duties will include monitoring culture reports for MRSA and other infections that require patients be placed on the appropriate isolation precautions; ensure compliance with hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment; reporting of significant diseases to the health department; providing education and consultation to patients, their families, clinical and medical staff; reporting of findings and presenting plans of action to the appropriate committees.
Rosemary is married to her high school sweetheart. They have two sons, one in the suburbs west of Philadelphia and the other in Rochester, NY.
