Physician Lecture on Do’s and Don’ts of Diabetic Foot Care

Hudson, FL (May 7, 2008) - Podiatrist, Nimesh Patel, D.P.M is the featured speaker for an upcoming lecture on Dos and Dont of Diabetic Foot Care on Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00 AM.

Diabetes affects 20 million children and adults in America. While an estimated 14 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, 6 million people are not aware that they have the disease. Diabetes is a disease which cause is unknown, although both genetics and environmental factors, such as obesity and lack of exercise seem to play a role. Dr. Patel will talk briefly about what you can do and should not do if you are a diabetic so you can take better care of your feet. Handouts will be provided.
