Hudson, Florida (January 28, 2008) - Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point has announced that the winner of their "2007 Employee of the Year Award" is Fran Wrona.
In an awards ceremony held on Thursday, January 24, the hospital announced that Fran Wrona, PBX Supervisor for Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, is the second winner of this annual award. Fran has been employed by Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point for 17 years and consistently exhibits professionalism in everything she does. Strong leadership skills combined with an extraordinary customer service focus were key factors in her selection. According to her staff and peers, she consistently "goes above and beyond" to ensure that she provides the best service possible to hospital patients, visitors, physicians, colleagues and volunteers.
As part of the presentation, Fran was acknowledged for her kindness and compassion. She is known for assisting patients and visitors and never hesitates to walk a visitor to the proper waiting room. It was also mentioned that she frequently buys newspapers for patients needing immediate assistance and toys for children who are sitting in the hospital waiting room. She contributes her own time and money to all of the many charitable causes Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point supports.
Fran is also a very effective leader in her role as a supervisor of the hospital PBX operators. She always ensures that her staff is current on changes in processes, policies, and equipment, even if it means coming in at midnight to work with operators working the night shift. Her staff communicates daily with every hospital department, and their commitment to keeping current on a wide range of information to support hospital operations is a reflection of her leadership.
She is honest, sincere, and truly dedicated to her job, the hospital, and her fellow co-workers. The RMCBP Rewards and Recognition Team identified her as one of Bayonet Point's finest leaders in bestowing this honor. Congratulations to our 2nd Annual Employee of the Year, Fran Wrona of PBX.
The RMCBP Rewards and Recognition Team reviewed the nominations of all the 2007 Quarterly Excellence winners and then selected one employee who best exemplifies employee excellence. This year's winner received financial compensation, Employee of the Year plaque, a special parking pass and other acknowledgements.
