Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Honors Its Teen Volunteers
Hudson, Florida (August 30, 2010) – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point honored its Teen Volunteers at its annual Teen Volunteer Appreciation and Award Luncheon, held on Saturday, August 14 in the hospital’s Shoreline Café.
The teen volunteers and their families were invited. Each teen received a letter for their school and a certificate of appreciation.
The hospital also used the occasion to honor its 2010 Five Star Teen Volunteer of the Year. Ahn-My Nguyen was honored as the 2010 Five Star Teen Volunteer of the Year. “My” began volunteering at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in 2006 and has already achieved 1,162 actual volunteer hours. She has a reputation for being outgoing and friendly as well as courteous and helpful to patients, visitors and other volunteers. In presenting the award My was described as having the “perfect personality and work ethic to be an outstanding volunteer.” My was also the recipient of the 2010 Volunteer Scholarship Award. She has been accepted to the University of South Florida and is planning to become a physician. She is described as an outstanding role model for teen volunteers.
