Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Back Pack Project Provides 88 Back Packs
Hudson, Florida (August 30, 2010) – Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point has announced that its employees, volunteers and physicians again worked together to provide 88 back packs filled with supplies to help students get a better start on 2010-2011 school year. Over 41 families were helped. Each year hospital employees and families are identified who are prime candidates for the hospital’s back pack project. After the 88 students and 41 families are supplied, additional materials that have been raised are then donated to the school system. This year three large cartons of miscellaneous and extra supplies were awarded to a local elementary school.
This year’s supplies committee included Rev. Jack Long, hospital chaplain, Steven Goldstein, Elaine Snee, Marianne Vigilis, and Johnnie Keegan.
