Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Announces the Appointment of Mark Anderson, RN, BS as Trauma Services Program Director
Hudson, FL Pam Schlicher, Vice President of Emergency Room and Trauma Services at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, announced the appointment of Mark Anderson, RN, BS to the position of Trauma Services Program Director. Mr. Anderson will function as liaison with the emergency rooms administrative team and the hospitals Trauma Medical Director in establishing Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point as a Level II Trauma Center. In making the announcement Ms. Schlicher emphasized that Mr. Andersons past experience and dedication to trauma will be a great asset to RMCBP and the community as the hospital prepares to deliver much needed trauma services.
Mark Anderson, RN, BS was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon in 1984 with a degree in sociology. He then graduated from Highland College, Seattle, Washington in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.
Mr. Anderson worked his way through nursing school working full time nights as an emergency department technician. Upon graduation Mr. Anderson immediately accepted a position at Highline Medical Center in Burien, Washington in the emergency department. It was there that he discovered that emergency and trauma nursing was his career path. In 1994 he accepted a position at Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in Portland, Oregon a Level I trauma center. Mr. Anderson held various managerial positions at Legacy. In 2005 he was named the Trauma Nurse Coordinator, a position he held until 2010. During that time he was in charge of the Performance Improvement program and Trauma Recovery and Acute Care Unit (TRACU).
Mr. Anderson lives in Palm Harbor, Florida.
