Orthopedics

What are Orthopedics?
It is not always a virus or traditional illness that brings people to the hospital. Sometimes it is pain and lack of mobility that patients suffer from. When the suffering is due to a medical problem stemming from the joints, muscles or tendons an orthopedic specialist is needed. Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point is fully prepared to help patients get past orthopedic medical conditions. Our staff is comprised of: orthopedic doctors, nurses and physical therapists who work together for the benefit of our patients. Call (727) 819-2929 to be directed to our orthopedic specialists.
Our Orthopedic center can help treat problems that arise due to injury and the strain that life puts on our bodies. We offer a full array of methods to help diagnose our patients. Each patient is evaluated and treated as an individual. Our hospital has advanced diagnostic imaging equipment. This equipment allows our staff of experts to see what is going on inside your body. Proper diagnosis leads to effective treatments. Some of the equipment that we use to help evaluate a patient’s condition include:
- MRI Accredited by the American College of Radiology
- CT
- PACS
- Ultrasound
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Interventional Procedures
- 64 Slice CT
- Nuclear Medicine Studies
- Fluoroscopy
A report to your referring physician by our Board Certified Radiologists is available within hours of your procedure.
Orthopedic Treatment
Once our staff has diagnosed you treatment options will be decided upon. We supply our patients with two things: the best treatment options available and information. We will keep you informed about what is going on every step of the way. We realize that medical science is not common knowledge and that anything that affects your body should be completely understood. Any time you have a question about your condition or how the treatment option will affect you; feel free to ask one of our orthopedic doctors.
Treatment is entirely dependent upon your medical condition. Our orthopedic surgeons can perform total joint replacements if need be or they can repair the specific parts of the joints that have been affected. . Knee and hip replacements are very common orthopedic surgeries and our experienced staff of orthopedic surgeons is capable of expertly rebuilding the human body. Our Orthopedic Center can also treat patients who suffer from arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and even repair damage incurred from a sports injury.
A Healing Atmosphere
At Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point we strive to make patients as comfortable as possible, after all an orthopedic doctor’s job is to provide contentment. We have combined the best features of both types of facilities to create a genuinely relaxing medical experience. The environment allows our patients to receive top notch medical care in a healing environment that they enjoy. Come experience it for yourself.
