Joe Rudisill, COO
Chief Operating Officer
Joe Rudisill became the Chief Operating Officer for Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in March 2017. Joe has over 10 years of experience in healthcare operations, strategic and capital planning, and medical staff development in large, tertiary hospitals and physician practice.
Before joining Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Joe served as the Associate Chief Operating Officer for Henrico Doctors' Hospital, a 340-bed, Level II trauma center in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to joining HCA, Joe was the Director of Operations at Virginia Urology, a 42-physician multispecialty practice, and he spent six years in progressive leadership roles at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, a 391-bed acute care hospital in Richmond.
Joe received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Chief Financial Officer
Tom Lawhorne was named Chief Financial Officer of Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in December 2011. Tom has more than 20 years of financial management and leadership experience in the healthcare industry.
Since 1993 Tom has served in Financial and Operational leadership roles in HCA Hospitals in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and now Florida. Tom’s diverse experience lends itself to both the financial and operational aspects of hospital leadership. Tom has developed and implemented strategic objectives related to healthcare legislation, payer reimbursement, capital deployment, medical staff development, service line development, volume growth, and operational efficiencies.
Before joining Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Tom served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for HCA’s Lewis-Gale Hospital Pulaski, a 147-bed facility in Pulaski, VA. Tom served HCA in Virginia for 14 years. Tom also served as CFO for an HCA facility in Kentucky, and as a Controller for an HCA facility in North Carolina.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting graduating Magna Cum Laude from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina.
Lori Spight, MHA, BSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Spight comes to RMCBP from an HCA sister facility, Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. There she served as both Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Interim Chief Nursing Officer. While serving in those positions she improved RN retention, improved nursing resources, and significantly increased and impacted Patient Experience scores and Employee Engagement. During her tenure she was responsible for opening a new 25-bed ortho neuro unit and 10 bed progressive care unit as part of a $110 million expansion, as well as opening 25 bed Level II emergency department.
She has been the Executive Sponsor for iMobile technology implementation and served as the Facility Stakeholder Engagement Champion for Patient Experience.
In addition to her HCA position at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, she served as a Director of Cardiac Telemetry and Progressive Care Units and the Transplant Unit/Nursing Operations at Research Medical Center in Missouri.
Ms. Spight holds a Masters in Health Administration degree from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rockhurst University. She is also a graduate of the HCA Chief Nursing Officer Development Program.
She's a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Ms. Spight is the proud mother of four adult children and extremely proud grandmother of five grandchildren.
Elizabeth M. Ferguson, RN, BSN
Assistant Chief Nursing Officer
Ms. Ferguson was promoted from her position as director of the hospital's surgical/trauma ICU/trauma step-down unit. She has served in various capacities at HCA since 2013 while also maintaining her reserve status. She is a US Army veteran serving eight years as a combat medic with a Forward Surgical Team. During that time she was an NCO-IC (Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge) of Advanced Trauma Life Support as well as a certified educator for the US Army.
Ms. Ferguson was trained in combat injuries, combat operations, and desert survival. She supported units that served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. She worked in all capacities in the Forward Surgical Team including the operating room, surgical intensive care unit and even flight operations.
Ms. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Harrison College in Indianapolis, Indiana. She continues to pursue a Master's degree in nursing through the University of Maryville, Missouri.
While in the military she was awarded two Army commendation medals for exceptional service in support of Global War on Terror, in the efforts to efficiently mobilize, deploy and prepare soldiers for forward combat operations.
Ms. Ferguson is married to another veteran, who recently retired with 18 years of service and is now a Pasco County sheriff's officer. She is a member of the Florida Nursing Association and is a member of the board of a local animal rescue, Mystical Animal Rescue.
Joseph Pino M.D., MBA, FAAFP
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Joe Pino has practiced Family Medicine and Geriatrics in our community for thirty years. Originally from New York City, he is a graduate of The Lutheran Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency, the first Family Medicine training program in New York City.
Prior to starting his career in medicine, Dr. Pino served in The United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He then attended Hunter College of the City University of New York where he received his degree in Health Sciences. He is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine and he is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine with a dual certification in Geriatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He received his MBA from The University of Phoenix.
He has been the Chief Medical Officer at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point since 2006. Over the course of his career he has served as Medical Director, Medical Advisor and Board Member for many community organizations and institutions. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Regional Medical Center and a Past President of the Pasco County Medical Society.
Vice President of Human Resources
Ms. Pressner comes to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point from Citrus Memorial Hospital where she served as VP of Human Resources. Ms. Pressner has held various human resource positions within the HCA system since 2009, including Vice President of Human Resources at Memorial Hospital of Tampa and human resources generalist at Community Hospital - Medical Center of Trinity in New Port Richey.
Ms. Pressner holds a Bachelor's of Human Services Administration degree from Saint Leo University and is currently working on her Master's degree in human resources at Capella University.
