HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has been serving the community since 1981. We are a 392-bed acute care hospital and designated Level II Trauma Center located in Hudson, FL and home of the nationally acclaimed Heart Institute. We have more than 300 physicians and over 1,600 colleagues on our integrated healthcare delivery team. We were the first hospital to be built in northwest Pasco County and also the first hospital to deliver a comprehensive cardiac and open heart program. Our quality programs have been recognized for excellence by US News & World Report, Thompson Reuters, UnitedHealth and the American Heart Association among others. We are designated as a Level II Trauma Center by the Florida Department of Health, and the only trauma center in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties. Establishing the region’s only trauma center was a natural step in our mission to delivering high quality lifesaving care. Our medical team is one of the finest in the state, and many of our physicians enjoy excellent reputations as being the most experienced practitioners in their field. We are home to a full Graduate Medical Education program in internal medicine, transitional year, and general surgery, all accredited by the ACGME. We are proud that HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has earned two 2018 Unit of Distinction (UOD) Awards given to our Neuro/Spine & Orthopaedics and Trauma Stepdown Units in an annual program that recognizes and rewards exemplary nursing units at HCA Healthcare facilities.
